Leal para com teu cliente, a quem não deves abandonar a não ser que percebas que é indigno de teu patrocínio. Leal para com o adversário, ainda quando ele seja desleal contigo. Leal para com o juiz, que ignora os fatos e deve confiar no que tu lhe dizes; e que, mesmo quanto ao direito, às vezes tem de confiar no que tu lhe invocas.

TOLERA
Tolera a verdade alheia, como gostarias que a tua fosse tolerada.

TEM PACIÊNCIA
O tempo vinga-se das coisas que se fazem sem sua colaboração.

TEM FÉ
Tem fé no direito como melhor instrumento para a convivência humana; na justiça, como destino normal do direito; na paz, como substitutivo benevolente da justiça; e, sobretudo, tem fé na liberdade, sem a qual não há direito, nem justiça, nem paz.

ESQUECE
A advocacia é uma luta de paixões. Se a cada batalha fores carregando tua alma de rancor, chegará o dia em que a vida será impossível para ti. Terminado o combate, esquece logo tanto a vitória quanto a derrota.

AMA A TUA PROFISSÃO
Procura considerar a advocacia de tal maneira que, no dia em que teu filho te peça conselho sobre seu futuro, consideres uma honra para ti aconselhá-lo que se torne advogado.

Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamedhe was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path ofhis life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the verylowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child,I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
